Q + A

What do I wear to a mountain wedding?

Glad you asked! The weather in Beaver Creek can be somewhat unpredictable. Expect cooler nights (light sweater and jeans) and warm afternoons (shorts with layers on top). There is always the potential for a stray shower. Yes, that could even happen on the mountain. Don't worry, we will have a plan for that. For the ceremony, think garden wedding. It would be amazing if everyone could choose a color that you see in nature. The wedding ceremony is happening on top of the mountain. There is a 15 minute gondola ride up, then there is a 10 minute walk along a groomed gravel path to the wedding site. It will all be worth it when you get there and see the view! But please......... save your high heels for the reception! You and your Jimmy Choo's can thank us later!

Where is the Centennial Gondola?

The Centennial Gondola is located at the mountain base area of Beaver Creek Village. Plan to park or be dropped off at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. Go straight through the hotel. The base of the mountain is on the backside of the hotel. From there if you look to your right, the gondola is centrally located. You can't miss it.

What options are there to get up the mountain?

The Centennial Gondola is actually a combination of open air chairs and gondolas. If you would like to be brave and ride the 6 person open air chairlift you have that option on your way up! It's a spectacular way to see the scenery! They will ask you to sign a short waiver. The gondola does not require a waiver. Each gondola holds 10 people. We ask that you please try to fill the gondolas because we are trying to get all 75 of you up the mountain in 30 minutes. There will be someone at the gondola passing out tickets. Enjoy the beautiful ride!
